Link's attacks style
I totally forgot to post this here.
I'm making a sword and shield fighting style to go with the Link model. I like the model but it just didn't look good with a shield and the dual style. So here is what I did:
I made the stance using the red stance as a base so I can avoid the standing on a ledge/slope bug. Edited the run forward, walk forward, and walk back to hold the shield up. I didn't change the run back because all the saber styles reference the same run back. So if I did when he used a single saber he would hold up his left arm to get chopped off.
Then I used the desann style as a base, since that style looks powerful, and modified the left arm for a shield. I also had to fix a couple of swings and returns to make it look better. Overall though if you played with the desann style then this will feel comfortable.
I also tried to make the shield work regardless if the shield model was 'bolted to wrist' or not. It does look better with the shield actually held, but still functions just fine if it is bolted.
Instead of posting all the pics of the swings here is the latest vid I made of them in action.
I'll work on the parries and transitions next and then move onto the bounces and deflections.

Re: Link's attacks style
Hey everyone, I am almost finished with the shield style. I anticipate that I'll have a beta up tomorrow. So now I'm looking for beta-testers. Anybody is welcome to apply: they just need to either post in this thread or send me a PM. I'm likely just going to allow the individuals I know or that are modders to be the testers. Only one 'application'please. If I don't get back to you then it means I don't know you well enough.
It is a closed beta because it is not completely finished. I'd rather have only a few people give it a play through in this stage. Once it is done everybody will get it on file front for sp. Multiplayer has to wait for its use in the mod "Neo Dark Ages," http://www.ndamod.com/
Right now it is setup to only work in sp. It contains new runs and walks, stance, attacks, transitions between attacks, and parries. So that's what I want everybody to be looking at. Not the models or skins.

Ok. Here is the beta I've finished up.
http://www.filefront.com/15143815/Link%20mod.zip
It contains Link and his weapons made by Dan Kaplan and my animations.
New stance, walks, forward run, attacks, and attack transitions.
While I'm waiting for C&C over it I've started work on Jar'Kai Niman.
